I’m 50% done with my Cyclorama wall, I’m coating it with joint compound mix with white paint, to make it look and feel smooth, I need it to be smooth, before i start painting and adding protective coating, and I also build a sliding door….  if you think about it, it’s like using a spatula to apply icing on a cake…  a big big cake. LOL ^_^ v
